LEAN SIX SIGMA TRAINING

Overview

Our client Invotec is a leading manufacturer of PCB’s  for the aerospace, military and satellite markets. They were experiencing high levels of scrap and rework due to the process complexity in manufacturing and required a more effective method for problem solving.

Solution

• Lean Six Sigma training: we trained 13 members of staff to Greenbelt Foundation level and managers received sponsor training.​

• Coaching: Over a 4 month period (at intervals), our staff coached the greenbelts through their projects to completion and certification.

• Root cause: Projects all managed to identify and improve the root causes of the manufacturing issues.

Outcome

• 13 completed their projects and were certified by our trainers with 2nd projects identified.​

• Projects delivered over £125,000 in annualised cost savings.

• Old habits of ‘fire-fighting’ were reduced and new Lean Six Sigma ways of working commence.

• Candidates and Line Managers now have the skills and knowledge to complete projects without external help.
